FABIANA SALOMÃO

“I BRING IN MY ART THE AWARENESS THAT TODAY WE ARE NOT MODERN, BUT RATHER A RECONFIGURATION OF THE MODERN”

We are delighted to introduce Fabiana Salomão 

Fabiana is a Brazilian interdisciplinary artist whose passion for Modernism is reflected in her work. For the last decade, Fabiana has been exploring the mediums of photography, painting and installation. 

Evident in her abstract work is a strong influence of the Concrete and Neo-Concretism movement that took place between 1930 and 1990. As a key player in the Concrete Movement, she questions the conceptual ambiguities between Modern and Contemporary Art, her series Concrete Memories was the result of her expository.

What attracted me to Fabiana’s striking imagery was the graphic contemporary lines, tones and geometric abstraction of her work. The subtle warm earthy tones of this series contrasted with the angular shapes create a bold statement that would work within any modern space.
