Memory Blocks: Mixed Media Workshop
March 5th, 10:00am - 3:00pm
Using photocopies of vintage family photos, paint, tapes, stickers or stamps or any other smaller elements of your choice, we’ll start on a 12″x12″ panel and learn the basics of playing with composition, scale and painted enhancement. Taking inspiration from well known collage artists, such as Joseph Cornell, Robert Rauschenberg, Man Ray, among others. Over the course of 5 hours, participants will create 1-2 mixed media artworks, on 12 x 12″ wooden panel.
This workshop will be taught be Mark J. Gleberzon, a Toronto-based multimedia artist. An Ontario College of Art graduate, Mark made a gradual transition from design to fine art, and has been practicing for over 25 years. Mark has developed several different series of work including his acrylic paintings and his photography, which has been shown in and represented by various galleries across Canada, U.S.A., Japan, and France.
